FOR VILLAGE POURHOUSE'S East Village employees, it's almost like the recession never happened. Staffers have continued to enjoy an annual trip to Disney World, a perk the watering hole introduced before the economic downturn. And with the recent addition of a dental plan, its workers' health care benefits have gotten a little better.
In an industry that can sometimes produce high turnover and cantankerous servers, this East Village eatery sports nine employees who've been at the place since it opened in 2006, and all of them have been rewarded for their tenure, hard work and dedication--with shares in the company and a cut of the company's profits.
